The sixties were Best's heyday, he won the a Championship medal twice, a European Cup medal and in 1968 was the European Footballer of the Year. Best's decline is well documented, but ultimately he should be remembered for what he was - a footballing genius.

CCCP 1956 Olympic Champions. Worn by the great Eduard Streltsov who played 38 times for the Soviet national team, scoring 24 goals.
After refusing to leave his beloved Moscow Torpedo for one of the Soviet army teams Streltsov was banned from all football and sent into a labour camp for 7 years.
His legendary status was complete when in 1965 in his first season back in football he led Moscow Torpedo to only their second Championship.
