New Shirts-Manchester Utd 1970 'Best' Shirt with No7
Manchester Utd 1970 'Best' Shirt with No7:
Manchester Utd 1970 'Best' Shirt with No7 Born May 22, 1946 in Belfast, George Best was, in some eyes, the greatest talent the game of British soccer has ever seen. He was football's first superstar and his fans considered it a tragedy when he walked out on Manchester United in 1972 at the age of 27. Best had it all, superb balance, two good feet, brilliant dribbling skills, a powerful shot, he was even good in the air. The sixties were Best's heyday, he won the a Championship medal twice, a European Cup medal and in 1968 was the European Footballer of the Year. Best's decline is well documented, but ultimately he should be remembered for what he was - a footballing genius.

Dundee Utd 1960's.: Dundee Utd 1960's. Walter Smith (pictured) signed as a defender with Dundee United in 1966, joining as a part-timer while working as an electrician. He was a decent player rather than a gifted one. In September 1975 he moved to Dumbarton, but returned to United in 1977.
At the age of 29, a pelvic injury threatened his career and he was invited to join the Dundee United coaching staff by Jim McLean. His first team appearances were limited thereafter, but he remained a signed player and his final club match was in September 1980. In total, he made over 250 senior appearances, scoring three goals.
