New Shirts-Manchester Utd 1970 'Best' Shirt with No7
Manchester Utd 1970 'Best' Shirt with No7:
Manchester Utd 1970 'Best' Shirt with No7 Born May 22, 1946 in Belfast, George Best was, in some eyes, the greatest talent the game of British soccer has ever seen. He was football's first superstar and his fans considered it a tragedy when he walked out on Manchester United in 1972 at the age of 27. Best had it all, superb balance, two good feet, brilliant dribbling skills, a powerful shot, he was even good in the air. The sixties were Best's heyday, he won the a Championship medal twice, a European Cup medal and in 1968 was the European Footballer of the Year. Best's decline is well documented, but ultimately he should be remembered for what he was - a footballing genius.

Peru
PERU 1978-PERU
PERU 1978: Peru 1978 World Cup shirt. Peru's opening match of the 1978 World Cup was against Scotland who went a a goal up after 14 minutes when Joe Jordan snapped up a chance from Quiroga’s parry. On the stroke of half-time, Cubillas passed to Cueto who equalised beyond Alan Rough (pictured). Just after the hour mark, Scotland won a penalty but Don Masson's shot to Quiroga’s left was tame and waist high and was easily saved. Peru needed no further invitation to take control and in the 72nd minute Peru took the lead when Cubillas stroked a wonderful shot with the outside of his right foot past Alan Rough. Five minutes later, Cubillas extended the lead, rifling a shot to Rough’s right from just outside the box. Peru went on to top the group but crashed out at he second group stage after being thrashed by Argentina and Brazil.
