They were on course for a treble of League, FA Cup and League Cup going into the final stages of the 1964-65 season, winning the League Cup but faltering late on in the other two.

New Shirts-Manchester Utd 1970 'Best' Shirt with No7
Manchester Utd 1970 'Best' Shirt with No7:
Manchester Utd 1970 'Best' Shirt with No7 Born May 22, 1946 in Belfast, George Best was, in some eyes, the greatest talent the game of British soccer has ever seen. He was football's first superstar and his fans considered it a tragedy when he walked out on Manchester United in 1972 at the age of 27. Best had it all, superb balance, two good feet, brilliant dribbling skills, a powerful shot, he was even good in the air. The sixties were Best's heyday, he won the a Championship medal twice, a European Cup medal and in 1968 was the European Footballer of the Year. Best's decline is well documented, but ultimately he should be remembered for what he was - a footballing genius.

Poland
POLAND 1960 - 70's Home shirt-POLAND
POLAND 1960 - 70's Home shirt:
Poland 1960's - 1970's home shirt. What did for England in 1973 wasn't the draw at Wembley to the Poles; it was the craven manner of their defeat to the Poles in Chorzow in front of 105000 fans. Bobby Moore's mistake and Alan Ball's sending off first deflated any hopes of a return to the World Cup. For that game Poland wore this white shirt and England, were clad in yellow! Pictured is Kazimierz Deyna who won 97 Caps and scored 41 goals, a gifted playmaker who won the Golden Boot Award at the 1972 Olympics and captained Poland at the 1974 World Cup.

POLAND 1960's Away shirt.-POLAND
POLAND 1960's Away shirt.:
Poland 1960's Away
This is the shirt made famous by Lubanski, Lato, Deyna and 'the Clown' at Wembley in 1973. Before the game Deyna was asked by a journalist whether he felt fearful because Poland had never beaten England at Wembley replied 'Ah yes, but we don't have to win'. And, accordingly, the Poles drew the match and qualified for Germany where they distinguished themselves, taking a deserved third place. But it's this shirt which Poles hold dear; this shirt that got them to Germany in the first place.
Pictured is the goalkeep hero Jan Tomaszewski who had infamously been labelled a 'clown' by Brian Clough before the qualifier against England.
