Chelsea FC 1960's v neck.:
Chelsea FC 1960's V neck. The 1960s saw the emergence of a talented young Chelsea side under manager Tommy Docherty. They challenged for honours throughout the decade, and endured several near-misses. They were on course for a treble of League, FA Cup and League Cup going into the final stages of the 1964-65 season, winning the League Cup but faltering late on in the other two.

Manchester Utd 1970 'Best' Shirt with No7:
Manchester Utd 1970 'Best' Shirt with No7 Born May 22, 1946 in Belfast, George Best was, in some eyes, the greatest talent the game of British soccer has ever seen. He was football's first superstar and his fans considered it a tragedy when he walked out on Manchester United in 1972 at the age of 27. Best had it all, superb balance, two good feet, brilliant dribbling skills, a powerful shot, he was even good in the air. The sixties were Best's heyday, he won the a Championship medal twice, a European Cup medal and in 1968 was the European Footballer of the Year. Best's decline is well documented, but ultimately he should be remembered for what he was - a footballing genius.

Arsenal v Liverpool 1971 FA Cup Final DVD.-ARSENAL
Arsenal v Liverpool 1971 FA Cup Final DVD.:
Arsenal v Liverpool 1971 FA Cup Final Having all already clinched the league title, the Gunners headed for Wembley chasing that all elusive double. Facing what was to be the second of Bill Shankly’s great sides, it took extra time and a moment of class to separate these two giants of the English game. Regarded as one of the most enduring images of FA Cup final history, Charlie George lay flat on his back having clinched the winning goal deep in extra time, after both teams had endured a match of pulsating football and a hatful of missed chances. With the score line level at the end of ninety minutes, were Arsenal to rue their missed chances, as Kennedy, Armstrong and Radford all passed up opportunities, and were Liverpool now believing with the introduction of Thompson, that this could be their day. And it certainly did seem like being Liverpool’s day when Heighway drove the ball past Wilson from an acute angle, with only two minutes of extra-time played. But the willpower and perseverance that Arsenal had displayed all season once again stood them in good stead, as they dug deep to clinch the cup. First it was Graham who levelled, and then with eight minutes remaining, Charlie George struck an unstoppable twenty-yard shot, and cue the famous celebration. Arsenal celebrated and the Double was completed. It was a final that will never be forgotten, so own a piece of history in this specially produced programme.

Arsenal v Newcastle Utd1998 FA Cup Final DVD-ARSENAL
Arsenal v Newcastle Utd1998 FA Cup Final DVD:
Arsenal v Newcastle Utd1998 FA Cup Final History is re-written once again, as the Gunners become only the second team in English football history to win a second double in Arsene Wenger’s first full season in charge at Highbury. Arsenal had twice lost FA Cup Finals to Newcastle, either side of the war in 1932 and 1952, but faced them on this occasion as overwhelming favourites to add the Cup to their recently claimed Premiership crown. It had been a season of two halves for the Gunners, with any hope of any silverware looking remarkably slim at the turn of the year. Lying in sixth, the table wasn’t making happy reading and a third round goalless draw at home to Port Vale only served to deepen the gloom. But a remarkable turnaround in form saw a 12 point deficit overcome and a Cup Final place was eventually booked after defeating Wolves at Villa Park. The match started brightly, and the breakthrough came after only 23 minutes, when Petit, who would end the summer as a World Cup Winner, provided the pass for Overmars to shoot past Given, and there was only going to be one winner. Newcastle hit the woodwork twice in the second half, but Arsenal wrapped it up in the 70th minute, when Anelka latched onto Parlour’s long ball to fire past Given to seal a remarkable season for the Gunners. So now relive this day all over again when double was completed for an incredible second time.

Arsenal Vs Manchester Utd FA Cup Final 2005 DVD:
Arsenal Vs Manchester Utd FA Cup Final 2005 DVD. Arsenal won their 10th FA Cup Final and their 4th in the space of 8 years as Arsene Wenger's side finished the season on a high at the Millennium Stadium by beating their arch rivals Manchester United. For the first time in FA Cup history, the Final was decided by a penalty shoot-out. Jens Lehmann gave Arsenal the edge with a wonderful save from Paul Scholes and captain Patrick Vieira fired home the winning spot-kick. It was a glorious climax for the Gunners and a wonderful defensive display of determination and class as Manchester United couldn't break down the Arsenal rearguard. Wayne Rooney went close on three occasions before the break and hit the post in the second half, Freddie Ljungberg nodded Ruud van Nistelrooy's header onto the underside of the bar and out, and Roy Keane was one of a posse of United players to squander chances. Arsenal's best chance came in extra time through a Robin Van Persie free kick which Roy Carroll did well to save and then in the dying seconds of the game Jose Antonio Reyes was sent off. So after the two teams couldn't be separated over 120 minutes The FA Cup Final was to be decided by penalties. Van Nistelrooy scored. Lauren matched him. Then Lehmann sprang to his right to push away Scholes' effort. Ljungberg put Arsenal in front, then Ronaldo, Van Persie, Rooney, Cole and Keane scored with ease. It was left to Vieira… and the captain kept his nerve to find the top corner and make sure this day belonged to the Gunners. 2 DISC SPECIAL Disc 1 features full match, extra time & penalties Disc 2 features The FA Cup 2004/05 Review

Bolton Wanderers v Manchester Utd 1958 FA Cup Final DVD.-BOLTON
Bolton Wanderers v Manchester Utd 1958 FA Cup Final DVD.:
Bolton Wanderers v Manchester Utd 1958 FA Cup Final It had been 29 years since Bolton Wanderers had last won the FA Cup, and facing a Manchester United side that had been decimated by the Munich air disaster, there would rarely be a more emotive match between the two local rivals. United had the emotional backing of the nation, but with the memories of 1953 still fresh in many players minds, Bolton were intent on making amends for the heartbreak suffered only 5 years earlier to Blackpool. Bolton were simply the better team on the day, and it took only 3 minutes for one of the town’s greatest sons to break the deadlock. Edwards crossed and Nat Lofthouse beat Harry Gregg in the United goal from close range, but that wouldn’t be the only time that the paths of these old adversaries would cross in this match. In the 55th minute an incident occurred that has been spoke about as fervently today as it was then. A shot from Stevens was saved by Gregg, but as he collected the ball, an on-rushing Nat Lofthouse bundled both the keeper and the ball into the net and the goal was given. United had no way back, and the cup was heading back to Burnden Park for the fourth time in the Club’s illustrious history. Now relive the whole game once again, as we bring you the full 90 minutes plus exclusive interviews with…shot in September 2004. If you were there or not, this is one piece of history that must be owned.

Chelsea v Leeds FA Cup Final 1970 DVD.-CHELSEA FC
Chelsea v Leeds FA Cup Final 1970 DVD.:
Chelsea v Leeds FA Cup Final 1970 The first time is always the sweetest, as Osgood and co triumphed over treble chasing Leeds United after the two teams had battled it out for over 240 minutes of absorbing football. After a convincing run, which saw the Blue’s brush aside the challenges of Birmingham; Burnley; Crystal Palace; Queens Park Rangers and Watford; amassing an impressive 21 goals in 6 games, Dave Sexton’s side went into the final full of confidence that Leeds would be added to their list. On a sand-covered Wembley pitch, both sides produced a game oozing with bright attacking football, yet it was two defensive errors that opened the scoring. Jack Charlton headed Leeds in front, when the ball bounced awkwardly to evade a goal-line clearance, but Peter Houseman duly took advantage of the conditions when his long-range attempt slipped past Sprake in the Leeds goal before the interval. Leeds looked to have sealed the victory when Mick Jones drilled in an 84th minute goal, but not to be denied, the ever resilient Blue’s fought back to equalise with only minutes remaining when Ian Hutchinson stole in with a fine equalising header. Extra time failed to find a winner, and to Old Trafford they went. In a physical encounter, Leeds once again took the lead midway through the first half via the boot of Jones. The game ebbed and flowed, and the Blues had to wait until the 78th Minute before they were back on level terms, when Peter Osgood rose to head home. The game once again entered extra time, but David Webb upset the pattern of the final, much to the delight of all Blues, when he forced the ball over the line from an Ian Hutchinson long throw. It was the first time Chelsea had been in the lead – and that’s how it remained! Chelsea’s first FA Cup Triumph! Relive it all over again in this specially produced programme featuring extended highlights of the first match and the full 120 minutes of the Old Trafford Replay.

Coventry City v Tottenham Hotspur 1987 FA Cup Final DVD:
Coventry v Tottenham Hotspur 1987 FA Cup Final Bidding for a record eighth FA Cup triumph and having never lost an FA Cup Final, Spurs headed into this one full of confidence that victory was surely theirs. But facing Coventry, who were appearing in their first final after 104 years of trying, was it ever going to be that straightforward?, After defeating Manchester United in the fourth round, Coventry coach John Sillet had boldly declared that his Club’s name was “on the cup”, but with only two minutes into the Final itself, his predictions seemed to be falling apart at the seams as footballer of the year Clive Allen headed home from Waddle’s cross to make it 1-0, and the pre-match favourites were proving the pundits right. But Coventry had other ideas, as Dave Bennett, who had suffered Cup Final heart-ache in 1981, capitalised on confusion in the Spurs defence to pull the sky blues level after only 9 minutes, and it was game on. Gary Mabbutt pushed Spurs ahead once again before half time, but that was levelled by one of the most memorable Cup Final goals and celebrations ever seen in FA Cup Final history, as Keith Houchen dived full length to head powerfully past Ray Clemence and run off behind the goal to celebrate with the jubilant Sky Blues fans. Extra time was needed, but it took only 6 minutes for the deciding goal to be struck, when Lloyd McGrath’s centre took a wicked deflection and Clemence was beaten once again. The unthinkable had happened and Coventry had won the Cup, now relive this unforgettable moment of history for the ‘Sky Blues’, with the full 120 minutes of a match that will never ever be forgotten.

Everton Vs Rapid Vienna 1985 European Cup Winners Cup Final DVD.:
Everton Vs Rapid Vienna 1985 European Cup Winners Cup Final DVD. Everton 3 Rapid Vienna 1 European Cup Winners Cup Final 15th May, 1985 The Blues arrived in Rotterdam full of confidence after beating Munich, and were now tipped as hot favourites to emerge victorious against Rapid Vienna. Sharp scored first on 57 minutes and Trevor Steven added a second on 72 minutes. Rapid did manage to claw their way back into the match, but the goal proved irrelevant, as Kevin Sheedy hammered home number three straight from the restart. Rotterdam was awash in Blue, as Kevin Ratcliffe lifted Everton's first trophy in Europe and made the 84-85 season one that the blue half of Merseyside will never forget. Everton 3 Bayern Munich 1 European Cup Winners Cup Semi Final - 2nd Leg. 24th April 1985 Managers and players will tell you that winning a Semi-Final of any Competition can be more exciting that the Final itself, and that was surely the case when Everton met Bayern Munich in the European Cup Winners' Cup at Goodison Park back in April 1985. Trailing 1-0 at half time ( after a 0-0 1st leg in Munich ), Everton faced their biggest test of a memorable season against one of Germany's best, but with some inspirational words from Manager Howard Kendall and a display of dazzling football, they gave all Evertonians a night to remember. The crowd inside Goodison Park that night was vociferous in the extreme, promoting Howard Kendall to tell his players in the dressing room at half time - "just get the ball forward and the Gwladys street will suck the goals in." And how right he was as the blues scored three in a special second half performance and Everton marched onto the final in Holland. You can now relive all of the passion and the drama of both of these matches, as the Blues marched to a unique European and League double.

Ipswich Town v Arsenal – 1978 FA Cup Final. DVD:
Ipswich Town v Arsenal – 1978 FA Cup Final The 1970’s finals were rapidly becoming the decade of shocks, and the 1978 final, somewhat unfairly went down as another major turn-up, as Ipswich Town put a disappointing league campaign behind them, shrugged off the underdog tag and took the match to Arsenal. Despite a season of struggle, Ipswich boss Bobby Robson boasted a side which had finished the previous year in third place in the league, and on their day, were more than a match for any side, and so it proved in their first ever Cup final appearance. Three times Ipswich hit the woodwork, with John Wark and Paul Mariner displaying their international class; Kevin Beattie and George Burley both had headers superbly saved by Pat Jennings, and the back-line kept Arsenal’s attacking prowess at bay. The breakthrough eventually came with only thirteen minutes remaining, when David Geddis’ cross fell into the path of Roger Osborne, who drilled home a first-time shot. Roger Osborne’s over-enthusiastic celebration caused him to faint, but few minded as the F.A. Cup headed to Suffolk for the very first time.

Liverpool v Everton 1989 FA Cup Final DVD:
Liverpool v Everton 1989 FA Cup Final Whilst the 1988-89 FA Cup will always be remembered for the tragic events that unfolded at Hillsborough, for the Final itself the script couldn’t have been written any better, as Liverpool faced their arch rivals Everton in an emotionally charged and highly evocative Wembley final, in which Liverpool would eventually win but Merseyside would be united. Liverpool started brightly, and were ahead after only four minutes, when John Aldridge hit the back from within inches to the penalty spot where he had missed in the previous year’s Final, but this time there was no denying him a Cup Final goal, and it was a goal that appeared to clinch victory after 85 more minutes of enduring football in the sweltering May sunshine failed to produce another goal. But just as the ribbons were being fastened, Everton’s substitute Stuart McCall popped up at the back post to force extra time. The Blue’s resurgent with their late goal started brightly, but it was Liverpool’s own substitute Ian Rush who proved to the hero of the hour, as he first swivelled and fired an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net, and then after McCall had once again equalised he steered an unstoppable header that was as deft as decisive to make it 3-2 with the second half of extra time still remaining. But that’s how it remained, and the Reds had fittingly won the cup, providing the best possible tribute to the victims of Hillsborough, on a simply unforgettable afternoon in North London, when both sides of Merseyside played their part in an extraordinary occasion. Now relive this incredible match over again in this specially produced programme, featuring the full uninterrupted 90 minutes and post match reaction as it happened.

Whilst the 1988-89 FA Cup will always be remembered for the tragic events that unfolded at Hillsborough, for the Final itself the script couldn’t have been written any better, as Liverpool faced their arch rivals Everton in an emotionally charged and highly evocative Wembley final, in which Liverpool would eventually win but Merseyside would be united.

Liverpool v Newcastle United 1974 FA Cup Final DVD-LIVERPOOL
Liverpool v Newcastle United 1974 FA Cup Final DVD:
Liverpool v Newcastle United 1974 FA Cup Final As Bill Shankly’s rebuilt side of the 1970’s flourished in the 1972-73 Season, the 1973-74 campaign didn’t quite live up to expectation, with the F.A. Cup becoming the only realistic chance of adding silverware to the trophies won the previous year. But facing Newcastle, they played a team that had never lost a Wembley final, and the stage was set for a keenly–awaited showdown. With eight of Liverpool’s starting line-up remaining from the side that suffered heart-ache in the extra-time defeat of the1971 final, Bill Shankly’s team were determined to make amends, and with the addition of Kevin Keegan, they started as favourites to lift the Cup. After a first half of few chances, Liverpool really turned on the style in the second half with a master-class display of total football. Alec Lindsay became the scorer of perhaps the best F.A. Cup goal that never was, before Kevin Keegan opened the scoring, Steve Heighway added number two and then Kevin Keegan scored his second of the game after a move of flowing football with only minutes remaining. As the triumphant Bill Shankly headed for the Wembley tunnel with a red flag held above his head, the Liverpool fans rightly saluted their great manager. But weeks later he would stun the world of football by announcing his retirement, after clinching his final piece of silverware Featuring post-match interviews with the players and Bill Shankly, this is a piece of history that must be owned.

Manchester City v Leicester City 1969 FA Cup Final DVD.-LEICESTER CITY
Manchester City v Leicester City 1969 FA Cup Final DVD.:
Manchester City v Leicester City 1969 FA Cup Final Having won the league championship the previous season, City returned to Wembley eager to add the FA Cup to their impressive list of honours in the late 1960’s. It was a golden era for the Club, as Mercer and Allison watched on from the sidelines, and Summerbee, Bell, Lee and co turned on the style on the pitch. In the weeks leading up to the final, City announced they would be wearing their new change strip of red and black, rather than the traditional sky blue. It was Allison’s suggestion, believing that it would give City the kind of invincibility enjoyed by AC Milan. In a bizarre scenario Allison was forced to watch the match from the stands, because of the touchline ban he was serving, but instead of opting for an elevated position, the camera’s picked out the City assistant sitting with the fans on the front row, which ironically brought him closer to the pitch than the bench. In a fast and open game, there were chances at both ends, but a solitary goal would decide this final, which swung in City’s favour. It came in the 24th minute, as Summerbee’s low cross was met by a thunderous shot by Neil Young, and City had a lead they would not relinquish. An estimated 250,000 people lined the streets of Manchester for the victory parade the following afternoon, and Mercer addressed his beloved fans as the first man to win the FA Cup and League Championship as both player and manager. So now relive this historic day for the Club, as City claim their 4th FA Cup crown, and we bring you the full uninterrupted 90 minutes in colour, plus a special bonus feature of the goals from 1956 when City last returned from Wembley triumphant.

Manchester United v Brighton & Hove Albion 1983 FA Cup Final DVD.-BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION
Manchester United v Brighton & Hove Albion 1983 FA Cup Final DVD.:
Manchester United v Brighton & Hove Albion 1983 FA Cup Final Whilst the scoreline of the replay suggests otherwise, the 1983 FA Cup Final came so close to turning the form books upside down and producing the shock of the season, as Gary Bailey denied Gordon Smith and Brighton & Hove Albion from following in the footsteps of Southampton in 1976, and forcing the replay that United would comfortably win. After Brighton had taken the lead in the first half, United hit back with two second half goals from Frank Stapleton and Ray Wilkins, and were seemingly heading towards their fifth FA Cup Final triumph, but a late equaliser from Gary Stevens with only three minutes remaining, brought the tie level, and in the end United had to be content with a replay as Gordon Smith missed a glorious chance to shower his team with FA Cup glory, and five days later they would be back at Wembley fighting it out once again. But this time around the difference in league standings was clear to see, as United produced a performance that was indicative of their unbeaten home record in the league, and clinched the Cup by the biggest margin since Bury defeated Derby 6-0 in 1903. Two goals in five minutes mid-way through the first half by Bryan Robson and then by the youngest Cup Final scorer, Norman Whiteside, just 18 at the time, set United on course, and Robson’s second before half time put them beyond reach. Arnold Muhren completed the scoring from the penalty spot on 63 minutes, and the trophy was heading back to Old Trafford. Norman Whiteside became the youngest player to score in a Wembley final, and United had won the cup for the fifth time on Sir Matt Busby’s 74th birthday. With the full uninterrupted 90 minutes of the replay along with goals from the first match, there’s nothing quite like an emphatic United victory in the World’s most famous cup competition.

Manchester United v Liverpool – 1977 FA Cup Final DVD-LIVERPOOL
Manchester United v Liverpool – 1977 FA Cup Final DVD:
Manchester United v Liverpool – 1977 FA Cup Final Back at Wembley, Manchester United were determined to make amends for their previous year’s defeat to Southampton. But facing treble chasing Liverpool, the Merseysiders were odds on favourite to clinch the Cup. The match was a tight affair, as both teams successfully managed to cancel each other out. But then came a frantic five minutes just after half time, which saw the trophy heading back to Old Trafford for the 4th time in their history. Pearson opened the scoring for United when he smashed the ball past Clemence from twenty yards on 50 minutes. However, the joy was short lived, as Case superbly equalised only two minutes later. But just as Liverpool hopes were revived, United struck again on 55 minutes. After Greenhoff had seized upon Tommy Smith’s mistake, Lou Macari’s goal-bound shot took a telling deflection past a stranded Ray Clemence, to make it 2-1 and advantage United. Liverpool fought hard to equalise, and Ray Kennedy rattled the bar in the closing stages, but it was United’s day as they avenged the heart-ache suffered 12 months earlier and denied their Northwest rivals of the much-coveted treble. Featuring the post match interviews as they happened on the day – this is a true collectors item.

Manchester Utd v Crystal Palace 1990 FA Cup Final DVD.-CRYSTAL PALACE
Manchester Utd v Crystal Palace 1990 FA Cup Final DVD.:
Manchester Utd v Crystal Palace 1990 FA Cup Final Attempting to join Villa and Spurs as seven-time winners of the Cup, United faced Crystal Palace whose previous best run in the competition had seen them reach the semi-finals in 1976. But in uncharted territories, Palace held United to a 3-3 draw in the first clash before returning to Wembley to do it all again. But who knew then, on that Thursday evening in May that it would mark one of the biggest turning points in the Club’s history, as the rest of the decade would be littered with unparalleled success. After 4 years without triumph, Alex Ferguson’s reign at the helm of the Club was looking uncertain; patience was running low, but to the eternal credit of the board, they kept faith with the ambitious Scotsman, and United got their rewards. Unlike the first match, the replay was a tight affair, and the first half past without a goal being scored. But as the game wore on, and United began to create, Webb went down the right and hit an accurate cross that evaded the Palace defence, Lee Martin controlled and smashed the ball into the Palace net. United continued to dominate, but were unable to add to the scoreline. Robson hit the crossbar, but 1-0 it remained. The Cup was on its way back to Old Trafford, and Bryan Robson became the first player to lift the FA Cup three times at Wembley as Captain. It was an historic day for both the Club and Alex Ferguson. Now relive the whole match once again, with all the goals from the first match included in this special feature.

Manchester Utd v Liverpool 1996 FA Cup Final DVD-LIVERPOOL
Manchester Utd v Liverpool 1996 FA Cup Final DVD:
Manchester Utd v Liverpool 1996 FA Cup Final With United gunning for their second double in three seasons, this final brought back memories of the 1977 final, when these two rivals met for the first time beneath the ‘Twin Towers’, and United denied the Merseysiders of the double, but 19 years later, United weren’t to be denied, and the double double was complete in successive seasons. United started with confidence, and Beckham struck a ‘bullet-shot’ that James did well to save in the opening exchanges. But the expected breakthrough didn’t follow, and tension mounted. The 1st half passed and the 2nd continued in a similar manner as extra time loomed. But with 85 minutes played Beckham sent over an out-swinging corner, which James only managed to parry and newly crowned ‘Footballer of the Year’ Eric Cantona pounced. The Frenchman, within an instant re-positioned himself and drove the ball back through a crowded penalty area and into the net. It had been a remarkable year for the hugely talented Cantona, who had marked his return to football after an absence of 8 years with an awe-inspiring season that didn’t go unnoticed by the critics. “You don’t win anything with kids” said former Liverpool player and pundit Alan Hansen at the start of that season about United’s young team. Nine months later, these same kids had won the double and had made their mark in football history. So now relive this day in history once again, when Eric Cantona became the first Frenchman to lead his team up the Wembley steps and receive the Cup for a record 9th time for the Club.
